Pimples or Acne : Skin care tips from a Qualified Dermatologist.


Acne is a very common skin condition. This condition is most common in teenage and at some point of this time everyone has experienced acnes. Let’s know what is acne and how it can be prevented. Main reason of acne formation is clogged pores. Generally oily skin is linked with acnes but other skin types may also experience breakouts. Acne occurs when combination of oil, bacteria and dead skin cells clogs the opening of hair follicles, because of which sebum get trapped in the pore and pops up on the skin surface as pimple. There are many reasons of acnes like puberty, menstrual cycle, pregnancy, menopause, excessive oil production, dead skin and bacteria building in the pores and many more. Reason may be any but taking care of acne prone skin is necessary.
 Making simple lifestyle changes can give you healthy pimple free skin, these may include:

• Wash your face at least twice a day with mild cleanser. It is really important to cleanse your face after exercise or excessive sweating and before going to bed.

• Don’t use harsh scrubs, be gentle with your skin.

• Don’t prick or pop pimples, you may feel tempted to do so but it may lead to permanent scar, if needed to prick, try getting it done by expert dermatologist.

• All the things which come in regular contact with your skin should be washed regularly like bedsheets, pillow covers, makeup brushes and even phone screens.

• Drink adequate amount of water, try to stay hydrated.

• Use noncomedogenic products, these are cosmetic products that don’t clog pores. 

• Choose hair care products carefully as they can cause breakouts near forehead area.

• Try to have healthy and balanced diet, avoid greasy, sugary and junk food. Include fresh fruits and vegetables in your diet.

• Stay stress free, excessive stress may disturb your hormones which is not good for your body in any way.

• In case of severe skin issues, try to consult Dermatologist.
